“This is why I love the community of Southwest Florida – there are constant fundraisers for causes that really matter, such as Florida Run for the Fallen.”

This is an effort made by Sgt. Sammy Gonzalez to help raise funds for C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors). Sammy is taking on the challenge to run from Fort Myers all the way up to Tallahassee for the families of fallen officers. How remarkable and inspiring is that?

During the holidays, we got to attend a fundraiser event at the Tarpon Pointe Marina called “Sundown Stroll”, that was able to put small local businesses together to help Sammy with his fundraising. Sundown Stroll happens every third Thursday in Cape Coral and is worth checking out if you want a late afternoon full of food, entertainment, and good causes.”
