The head football coach of Ohio State University was put on paid administrative leave while the university investigates whether or not he knew of the domestic allegations against the fired assistant coach Zach Smith.
But what’s your responsibility as a coach, manager, teacher or coworker if you know of someone who is a victim of domestic violence?
We talked to Gina Milone who is a community educator for Abuse Counseling and Treatment. She told us that football coach Urban Meyer technically broke his contract for not reporting it, but since both people involved were adults and not minors, law enforcement can’t separate you.
If you or someone you know is in a domestic abuse situation, give them resources to a local abuse shelter like ACT the abuse counseling and treatment center .
