The Importance of Fort Myers Film Festival to SWFL's Art Scene

This is one of the most important events in the area for the art scene in Southwest Florida. Yes. We have our own film festival and it features local filmmakers as well as international ones. We visited the founder, Eric Raddatz, at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center to learn more about the reason why we have a film festival and why it’s important for our community.

Eric has always been a fan of independent films. He understand the power that this medium has and what local people can do with it. Film has the power to give voice to voiceless, to inspire and entertain, and to help show people perspectives that are often looked down upon.

You definitely need to meet Eric and his amazing team.
The festival runs from March 21- 25th.
