The Florida Turnpike Enterprise launched a system that will help SunPass customers recoup overdraft charges. Customers who accrued fees when the online system was being updated will be eligible for reimbursements, if their bank account had overdraft fees.
When back-logged transactions were posted, some SunPass customers were charged overdraft fees from their personal banking accounts.
Customers must submit bank records that show at least two automatic replenishments and the charges resulting in overdraft fees. The transactions must have taken place between June 11, 2018, and Aug. 17, 2018.
If your account was affected you can submit your request at SunPass.com and fill out the form online .
Customers will have the option of having a check mailed to them or having their SunPass account credited.
