The SunPass system is a mess.
It was supposed to be fixed June 11, but it’s still down. Over a month later.
Florida is catching up on the backlog of toll transactions, which is estimated at over 100 million, that happened after the system maintenance started June 5.
As of Monday, 46 transactions were processed. The state is processing about 8 million a day, double the average daily number of toll transactions.
The state stopped paying the contractor in charge of the system upgrade until they fix the problem.
If you use the SunPass app, you could be dealing with a lack of updated information on your billing. But SunPass is working to make sure you’re not overcharged.
