It has been 17 years since terrorists attacked the United States of America.
Members of the Islamic terrorist group, al-Qaeda, took over two planes and flew them into the Twin Towers in New York City. Another plane was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon. And passengers of United Airlines Flight 93 overpowered the terrorists which caused the plane to crash in a field in right outside of Shanksville, Penn.
Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day. And to honor those who died, Southwest Floridians are donating something special - their blood.
