A team of 17 volunteers from Southwest Florida's Red Cross are heading to the Florida Panhandle to help Hurricane Michael survivors reconnect with technology.
Red Cross Disaster Services Technology Team will set up a small data center, complete with networks, computers, satellite dishes, WiFi and cellular routers.
“I truly never know what I’m going to have to do when I get there," explained Jim Frierson who is one of the volunteers on the DST team. "It depends upon who’s already there. It depends upon what they need that particular day or the next couple of days.”
