New Scams are Targeting Medicare Card Holders

If you know anyone that’s on Medicare tell them to watch out because there’s a new scam targeting them.

Beneficiaries of Medicare should be on the look out to for unusual requests for personal information like their new Medicare number, their bank number, promised gifts/money or asked to pay for a new card.

Remember that your Medicare card is FREE and Medicare will never contact you to ask for personal information. Also, When you receive your new Medicare card you can destroy your old one right away.

Medicare cards are mailed to people with a unique number. This number is meant to stop scammers from stealing identities and personal information. Treat your Medicare card number like your Social Security or credit card number and protect it.
