New Cape Coral Road Project Approved With a Cost of $8.5 Million

A new project proposal was approved by the Lee County Board of Commissioners this week.

The $8.5 million project will realign Kismet Parkway and Littleton Road at NE 24th Avenue in Cape Coral.

The project funding will also go toward creating a roundabout at Corbett Road.

The new street of road alone will cost $3.8 million in roadway construction costs.

The City of Cape Coral is expected to pay for $3.5 to 4 million of the project.

The planning directors were also looking at another route that would’ve cost $11.1 million and requires three homes to be leveled.
