Lot in Downtown Fort Myers Sold for $7 million

An empty lot next to the First Street Publix has been sold for $7 million. They plan to build a brand-new multi-story apartment complex on the corner of McGregor BLVD and Virginia Ave. The purchase is the latest in the city’s plan to revitalize the downtown area to be an attraction for young families and businesses.

The families who will eventually move in will be next to: 9 law firms, the shops at First Street Village, a free AIDS testing facility, an empty lot that is for sale for $4.3 million, Riverview Place and a wealth management company.

It has not been announced what kind of apartment complex will be a 55+ community or open to everyone. When they do, we will let you know.
