Lois Riess says she's "not guilty" in Fort Myers Beach murder

Lois Riess filed a written “not guilty” plea to the Lee County Clerk of Courts on Thursday.

She is accused of killing 59-year-old Pamela Hutchinson in Fort Myers Beach in early April. Riess has been charged with second degree murder, grand theft of a motor vehicle, grand theft, and criminal use of personal information.

Surveillance video shows Riess interacting with Hutchinson at Smokin’ Oyster Brewery April 5.

Riess is also wanted in Minnesota for potential involvement in her husband’s death in their town of Blooming Prairie in March.

She was arrested in South Padre Island, Texas in mid April after officials received a tip from a citizen.
