A Daycare worker walked out and left four children with out any adult supervision on Saturday.
Royal Crown Academy worker Keajeah Tyre of Fort Myers walked out and left four children without any adult supervision on Saturday. The police report says Keajeah Tyre told another employee she had to leave the school for a visitation and needed someone to cover. It’s unclear how old those four kids are, but the report stated one of them needed their diaper changed. The report also says the children were hungry and could only eat cheese and drink milk because all the food at the daycare was frozen.
It does not seem like any of the children were hurt and all the parents refused medical treatment for them.
After investigators interviewed Tyre they arrested her on four counts of child neglect.
The owner of the school did show up to give a statement. Now there is a padlock on the door and DCF Secretary Mike Carroll says “That the owner surrendered their license and will no longer provide child care services effective immediately.”
