FGCU Students to Hold Public Forum on Washington D.C March For Our Lives

On Saturday, hundreds of thousands of people took the streets of Washington D.C. to participate in the March For Our Lives.

Amongst the crowd was 50 Florida Gulf Coast University students, who drove the nearly 20 hours there and back over the weekend to participate and hear the speeches.

The march was planned as a response to the shooting in Parkland that killed 17 students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

The point of the march was in support of gun control laws and ending gun violence.

Students who went on the trip to D.C. are hosting a forum Monday, March 26 at 8 p.m. on the university’s campus to discuss the trip and what they plan on doing locally. Anyone is invited to attend.
