Family Hardware Shames Thieves

Stealing is something all retail stores have to deal with. Most stores call the police but the Family Hardware shames the thieves first on social media first.

Recently two men have been coming into the store and applying their five-finger discount on $200 worth of tools.

George Angeloff became suspicious of the thieves when one of them tried to return a saw blade he had stolen for a refund. George quickly destroyed the thief’s story. Once exposed, he ran out to his partner waiting in the car.

The owner has posted the surveillance video and photos of the two thieves and has asked the public to identify and shame them. It’s a practice they have been using for years and have led to stolen merchandise to be returned anonymously, most of the time the thieves don’t return, the thieves are often identified, and arrests for their crimes. The goal is to identify the thief to be one hundred percent sure before going to authorities.

If you recognize the suspects please call either Cape Coral PD, LCSO, or the store itself.
