Citigroup Messed up and Could Owe You Money

Citigroup messed up big time and it’s going to cost them about $335 million.

The bank was charging excessively high-interest rates to some customers that were caught up on their credit card payments. Banks are required to reduce penalty rates when a late payer begins to show good creditworthy behavior; however, from 2011 to 2017 Citi failed to do so. The good news is, $1.75 million accounts will be receiving a refund check of roughly about $190. This will include interest and a letter of explanation.
