5 Must-Haves for Your Babies and Toddler at the Beach

Preparing in advance for a fun family beach outing is key! So here is a quick reminder of things that will come in handy if you’re a new parent or have toddlers.

#1 Beach Toys!

These are essential to keep your child entertained while you soak up the rays. Luckily, we live in a beach town city, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding these at almost any local convenience store, drug store, souvenir shop.

#2 Snacks!

If your kids are anything like mine, you will need to pack up those snacks! Anything from fruit, cookies and cereal bars work great!

#3 Change of Clothes and Diapers!

Very important to rinse off and change into dry clothes before leaving, to avoid getting sick, i.e., ear infection.

#4 Sunscreen!

Any time you are planning on being outdoors, remember to apply sunscreen and bring it with you to continue to reapply throughout the day.

The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests babies under six months should be kept out of direct sunlight.

If you do take the little one out into the sun, AAP recommends a small amount of sunscreen with at least 15 Sun Protection Factor, SPF.

#5 Ziplock Bags!

You know you won’t be able to resist your children’s charm as they are enjoying their time in paradise. So, after you are done snapping their cuteness make sure you secure your phone in a Ziplock Bag to protect it from sand and any water that might get splashed around.
