Lehigh Residents Now Have Access to a New Health Care Facility

This is the first location for Lee Community Healthcare in Lehigh Acres and the fourth primary care location in Southwest Florida. Two other locations specialize in obstetrics and gynecology.

“We are a federally qualified health center,” said Bob Johns, executive director for Lee Community Healthcare.

“We began in 2011, with offices in Dunbar, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, South Fort Myers, and East Fort Myers,” he explained. And as of Nov. 1, 2018, the Lehigh Acres office became the newest addition to the list.

The clinic will cater to adults, children and expectant mothers who might not have adequate health insurance or the financial resources to pay for medical services.

“There is a high number of individuals living in Lehigh Acres that are currently using local emergency rooms to meet their primary care needs...needs that would be better met at an out-patient doctor’s office,” said Johns.

Who Can Be Seen?

Anyone can be seen regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.

Families who are living at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Residents may qualify for a discounted fee and can be seen for as little as $10 per office visit.
