Meet the North Collier Fire Rescue

With brush fires season in full swing, we wanted to put a face to the stories and show who is out there fighting these fires.

We spent the afternoon with North Collier Fire Rescue and talked to a few of their firefighters about what they do and why.

“You never know what a call is going to be until you arrive. When people call 911 they are sometimes panicking and leave out details,” said Battalion Chief, Robert Smith. “When we leave the station, we are prepared for any situation.”

Firefighters respond to many different calls including dive or water incidents, hazmat incidents and even active shooters. They are constantly putting their life on the line to protect the community.
