Hello SWFL Tries Frog Legs

It’s the Chicken of the sea, or something like that.

A recent adventure took me to Fancy’s Southern Cafe in Fort Myers where frog legs graced the menu. I thought it would be a good idea to see how many of my coworkers I could bait into trying this amphibious delight. Some flat out told me no with puzzling looks; but a few tried them out.

Those that indulged in the frog legs reacted with more bewildered faces. Overall the consensus was that they tasted oily and wet.

I still consider them to resemble a cross between catfish and chicken. Hence the chicken of the sea.
