ECHO's Global Farm is Fighting World Hunger

10:21 AM, Aug 28, 2018

ECHO’s Global Farm is a local farm fighting world hunger. The purpose of the farm is to learn and teach sustainable farming techniques to farmers all around the world.
The farm is broken up into 7 sections.

Tropical Lowlands
Highlands
Monsoon
Semi-Arid
Rainforest
Urban Garden
Community Garden

These areas recreate the conditions of that ecosystem. ECHO’s interns are assigned to different areas and they have to maintain and harvest their area. These skills can then be taken into the world by the interns and taught to farmers around the world.

This is one of the many ways ECHO strives to fight world hunger.

They offer tours Tuesday through Sunday twice a day. For more information, visit their website .
