Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park has been named as one of the best beaches in Florida by Coastal Living Magazine. It lives up to its reputation. The state park offers visitors plenty of sites and activities, along with serene surroundings.
There is a fee to enter the park. Cost varies depending upon the number of people per vehicle or by single pedestrian, but Delnor-Wiggins Pass is worth the fee. The park has five lots for drivers to park. Within each lot there are picnicking sites for small events and barbecuing and maybe a few friendly raccoons.
The actual pass lies at the end of lot 5 where fishermen and boaters flock to but swimming near the pass is not allowed in this area due to the heavy currents. This lot also has an observation tower that lets visitors have a look above the trees, a view that is definitely worth a peak.
Delnor-Wiggins is a family favorite. The park is fully-equipped with picnicking areas and water sport rental equipment. A trip here includes lush vegetation and scenic hikes as well as sun-bathing and boat watching. Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park definitely tops our list of Florida’s best beaches!
