On Wednesday, a 20-year-old Naples man was arrested on a felony charge of possessing over 20 grams of marijuana with an approximate street value of $800.
Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant of Adam Michael Kien’s residence on the 110th block of 7th Street in Naples. An arrest record from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office says detectives have known about the indoor grow operation since August.
Reports say detectives first searched a “rear structure on the property” and found 8.5 grams of marijuana and other items associated with growing pot such as transformers, high-intensity light bulbs, pots, high-grade fertilizers, a digital scale, plastic bags and light hoods.
In the primary residence, reports say deputies found approximately 98.3 grams of marijuana inside a backpack in the guest bedroom along with two plastic bags containing 9.4 and 9.8 grams of the green, leafy substance.
Kien was also charged with possessing and or using narcotic equipment paraphernalia.
Kien was arrested in 2016 for possessing and or using narcotic equipment paraphernalia, giving false information to a law enforcement officer and possessing under 20 grams of cannabis.
