For the last eight years, David McQuade, a Senior Portfolio Manager UBS Financial Services, Inc. and his wife and colleague Tammy McQuade have been putting on a holiday light show at their home for residents.

The light show includes over 100,000 Christmas lights synchronized to 28 popular holiday songs each night during December.

Even though their children are grown and moved to California, David and Tammy still enjoy doing the lights to give back to the local community. David starts planning the songs in July and setting up in October with family and friends. They also rent two storage units and a UHAUL each year just to make this family-friendly tradition happen.

The lights can be seen from the street in the evenings, but on certain days the McQuade’s open the gates and allow complete strangers to walk through their property for a better view. They post dates and times when the gates will be open in their Facebook group . On special nights you’ll also find Santa Claus and a ballerina dancing to The Nutcracker.

The show is free, but there is a donation collection box, where monies go to the Fort Myers Dream Center .
