Greenwell Painting is helping repaint over the graffiti problems in Cape Coral, and they’re doing it for free.
“To see stuff like this kind of takes us back a step. So I wanted to update things or keep (them) beautiful, I guess you could say,” said Bryan Greenwell of Greenwell Painting.
Greenwell Painting is helping repaint over the graffiti that’s come up throughout Cape Coral for free as police try to find whoever is behind it. You don’t have to walk long to notice it; we even found graffiti on the side of a random truck.
“It could be an expressive way to put their opinions out there,” Greenwell speculated, “But obviously, it could also be gang symbols. And I don’t want to suggest that in any way, but if that’s the case, I could see why it would make people feel unsafe.”
Local news outlets have said that police won’t confirm the graffiti is gang tags. Reportedly, Cape Coral Police Department thinks it’s probably something done by juveniles.
Thankfully, the guys at Greenwell Painting are doing what they can to ease the stress of locals as the investigation continues.
